The professional field of case management has just gotten a significant bonus. Case managers who have the Commission for Case Manager‘s board certified CCM® designation are a step above their co-workers. This certification tells the professional field that the case manager is especially highly qualified with the education, skills, knowledge and experience that ensures high quality care services and practice integrity. It also opens the doors for more likely advancement, and other opportunities for professional growth.
At $325, though, the test isn’t always easy to pay for. Veterans, reservists, and their dependents are now more able to augment the esteemed ranks of those with this CCM® designation. The VA now covers the cost of this test under GI Bill benefits.
You can read the letter from Douglas McPherson, an education liaison representative for the VA to Lisa Trofe, the Director of Operations and Administration for the Commission for Case Management Certification.
